He was a logger and was a fence builder and was known in Little River County as a honest, hardworking man. He was Marines Recon during TET offensive he was very patriotic and loved his country. He was highly decorated veteran and received a Purple Heart among other acts of heroism and valor. He was a corporal in the United States Marines Corps and a Vietnam War veteran.
